Once again, my Facebook group caught my attention with a single line, and bam! I had to read it. I’m pretty sure I put aside like five other books that were lined up and this one just jumped to the head of the class. This one is definitely a ‘Circle of Friends’ trope, which I normally don’t read. I’m from a small town where I’m pretty sure every one of my guy friends slept with the same girl. Like they just passed them around between them, and I’m not a fan. It bothers me. Nonetheless, I couldn’t resist whatever post my groupmate posted.
This is 6 med school students. So, highly motivated, busy, intelligent people. They don’t have the time, nor the energy, to go out and have one-night stands and such. So, after way too much build up, they decide to do it amongst themselves.
Of course, this could make things awkward. Insert the idea of doing it anonymously – in the dark at random. No one knows who they’re doing it with.
Alright, that’s fine and dandy, but then the making out starts. And the fingering and the blow jobs in the middle of the day. Sure, let’s blindfold one half of the equation. I’m sorry, I’m sorry. But once I’ve had a dick in my mouth, the level of awkwardness I’m going to have around the person is the same as just doing the deed. Same goes for someone going down on me while I’m blindfolded. I don’t know who it is. It could be any one of three of my friends so I’m GOING TO BE AWKWARD that they know and I don’t. I just…I don’t see their logic here.
Okay, okay. Let’s move on from these highly intelligent people’s dumbness. After all, maybe that’s just me. (I’m just saying: oral takes way more skill than sex.)
This story is told from one girl’s perspective the whole time. My anticipation was sufficiently built up with each encounter even though nothing particularly kinky happened – ya know, outside of a LOT of group foreplay. There are some fun moments in this book. When you get towards the end and people obviously start having feelings, the author tries to get creative and let you wonder a bit longer. The actual ending was cheesy, lol. (But, I mean, I don’t know how else you would end it for a HEA. You do what you’ve gotta do.)
I will reread this book. I read it a month ago and just writing this review makes me want to reread it again. I’ll probably skip all the silly bits at the beginning, but I think knowing how it ends may actually make me enjoy it even more.
Bravo, author!
However, I’m still going to bitch a minute again, because these girls are supposed to be best friends and they are bad at it. And this is a SMUTTY read, not an deep one, so know that going in.
-SPOILERS-
What are the odds that each girl is going to ultimately fall for a different guy? And that same guy is going to also choose that girl? Slim? Eeeeeeh, yeah, I dunno.

He sadly freed his hot mouth as the crew bitched and groaned at our lengthy indulgence, then he looked directly into my lustful eyes. “Sorry, everyone. Callie just tastes so fuckin’ good.”
