Tattoo artist and single dad, meets billionaire college grad with an overprotective daddy.

The night before college graduation, was one for the books.

Deciding to memorialize our last night together, my roommates and I ended up in front of a tattoo shop.

They chickened out.

I didn’t.

Lying face down, ass up, and alone on the table of the tattooed, god of a man, whose sinfully sexy style, and delicious demeanor wasn’t part of the plan.

It was one night, no regrets, no looking back, until I finally got a good look at the art he tagged me with.

I needed a single parent story for my bingo card, so I searched for that on Amazon, narrowed it down by having an audible, and having an audible that I could complete at work today. I've read a lot of tattooist heroes this year, most of which I haven't loved, but for some reason chose to read another one. Lol.

In January, I started a book called Jase and didn't make it far into it. I was not at all into the writing. I didn't like being in the character's heads and hearing their ridiculous thoughts. Turns out, this is Jase's daughter's story. What are the odds? Lol. I really wasn't paying close enough attention obviously.

Hmm...for this book combining a lot of things that I don't like...I didn't hate it. (A MMC that says 'tits' way too much. An ex-con. Lots of them really. A petty villain. Some really stupid views of sexual promiscuity. Reality TV.)

I won't recommend this book to anyone, but I'll admit that the dad-side of Tags was absolutely lovable and the willingness of Bella to defense herself was nice. Some of the things that Jase tells his 16-year-old daughter were also beautiful. I enjoyed his protectiveness of Bella enough that I'm sad I couldn't make it through his story before.

Storyline: The blurb is how the story begins. Then Tag leaves for a tattoo reality show competition. The Bella gets hired as a handler for the ex-con contestants. They hook up there again. Check the spoilers for triggers.

-SPOILERS-

Tag is technically married for like 80% of the book, to another woman working on the show. She's crazy and tried a home abortion when she was pregnant with Tag's kid four years ago. Poor Luna has a "lucky fin" like Nemo.

Book #1 in the Steel Crew series

Trope Challenge:

Tattooist Hero

“When you even think he’s possibly the boy who deserves your first kiss, Bella, you make damn sure he deserves you. Which means you know him. You know he treats his momma right, because that’s the way he’ll treat you. You remember you can do anything he can, and if he makes you feel like that’s not the case, he’s out.
