Lucky Suit
by Lauren Blakely
I'm breaking up with set-ups. No more "can I introduce you to my son, nephew, grandson, the butcher, the guy down the street who mows my lawn".
Machines know what's best, and I'll rely on the great dating algorithms of the web to find the ideal man, thank you very much.
Soon enough, it looks like I've found him -- his nickname is Lucky Suit, and he's hilarious, quick-witted and full of heart. But when I finally get together with him in person, I have the distinct feeling I've met him before. Turns out there's more to our meeting than I had thought, and when we discover what truly brought us together, all bets are off.

I can’t actually remember how this book ended up on my TBR, but I needed a book with “lucky” in the title and this one was quick, so I read it. This was a VERY quick one. Like I read it in 2 hours or so.
Kristen is a freaking smart character. She’s a scientist and I enjoyed her being as intelligent as she was. It was a great change of pace from other female main characters who couldn’t keep themselves safe if they were given instructions and a safe room. Anyway, this was a very contemporary romance and there were no bad guys in this one, so maybe I’m giving her too much credit since she didn’t have to fend anyone off.
Her grandmother was awesome and hilarious.
Camden was also intelligent and enjoyable. He never played the game of “do I like her, or don’t I?” which we all know I appreciate immensely. Actually, they both clearly state, individually, that they were looking for something and someone. He was the business side of his and his sister’s venture, Lulu’s Chocolates.
He lived in New York and she lived in Florida. So this was a simple story of being set up by her grandmother and them overcoming the distance. There were philosophical and funny moments wrapped up in there.
This book was as slow burn as you can be in less than 200 pages, lol. There was only one sexy scene at the end, but there was still some good tension and chemistry created between the characters the whole time.
Overall, if you need a quick read, it was cute. There was no angst in this one.
