Knight's Seduction

by Sherilee Gray

As an immortal demon hunter, fighting and killing is all Kryos has ever known. Trained by angels to control Hells escapees, he was promised a reward for his sacrifice—something with the power to calm his inner demon and make him feel whole after an eternity of emptiness. He never dreamed his prize would be her.

Waitress Meredith Malone has never fitted in, she's lived her life feeling so deeply alone that she’s given up on dreaming, of wanting. Instead, she does what’s expected of her, hoping that one day she’ll be just like everyone else—even if that means marrying someone she doesn’t love.

Until a man who looks like an angel, but has bad boy written all over him walks into her world and offers to change it forever…

This book was free on Amazon during one of my major book collections, so it’s been sitting on my TBR for a while. I needed a paranormal romance and a ‘K’ so I thought I would give it a try.

I liked this book well enough. I knew going in that this is a prequel, numbered at .5 in the series, so I assume it’s not the first book that was written. It’s just a novella also, so between those two things, I didn’t expect a lot of world building. Luckily, I love demon-centered stories and they’re usually pretty similar and easy to follow. I think it was enough to make me want to read the actual book #1.

For a novella, this book is slow burn, meaning the sex is at the end of the 100 pages. This story is also told in 3rd person - I feel like those two things are things that you should know, lol.

I liked Kyros. He was what you would expect of a guardian, I thought. I didn’t like Meredith. I thought she was weak and snively. I don’t know. I don’t have big feelings about this book, which is usually bad. However, like I said, I’ll probably read more, so meh.

-SPOILERS-

Kyros is a half-angel, half-demon demon hunter. He’s inexplicably drawn to a diner where he meets Meredith. Meredith has a fiancé. She cheats on him with Kyros. However, David, the fiancé sucks balls, so I personally didn’t care.

Book #0.5 in the Knight's of Hell series

“Will you…kiss me?”

He sucked in a harsh breath.

She licked her lips, “It’s all I can think about.”
