Ice Planet Barbarians

by Ruby Dixon

You'd think being abducted by aliens would be the worst thing that could happen to me. And you'd be wrong. Because now, the aliens are having ship trouble, and they've left their cargo of human women - including me - on an ice planet.

And the only native inhabitant I've met? He's big, horned, blue, and really, really has a thing for me...

I don’t even know how to review this book because it is so loved by so many. I’ll keep it simple though: I was queasy, I was intrigued, I was frustrated, I was alright, I was bored. Then it ended. I don’t think I’ll continue the series. 22 books is too big of an undertaking for not just loving it entirely. These aliens were a bit more alien than I prefer my aliens. Obviously this went on my trope list as ‘Alien Hero/Heroine’.

-SPOILERS-

The on-page rape of a side character was hard for me. It hurt. The women just leaving her to fight alone was hard for me.

The dub-con was an interesting one for me, lol. Waking a stranger up by eating her out is…a choice, lol. It wasn’t as offensive as it should’ve been. Maybe there’s a lesson in that for me.

They can’t talk to each other for so long! Ugh. Then the ship? What in the world? Are more people crashing here? Is that how we have enough women for 22 books? Oye.

Alien Hero

“And it does not matter what any eyes think of her but mine . . . and to me, she is the most wonderful, most attractive, and most compelling of creatures.”
